 1968 Cadillac For Sale

1968 Sedan deVille Pillared – 41k miles – Sudan Beige (code 40) with medium covert cloth and leather interior – Ran and drove when purchased from son of original owner, but had been sitting in garage for more than 20 years following original owner’s sudden death – Son got it running, made some repairs but needed the car out of his mother’s garage – After purchasing it, the current owner drove the car for a couple months until the transmission started slipping, probably due to disuse – Since the car was straight and un-molested, it was decided to do a full resto-mod as this would probably be owner’s last large-scale project – Car was completely disassembled, and firewall started to be smoothed as Vintage Air A/C was planned – Health issues require sale of the car as is – Everything is included – Rolls fine, doors were re-hung, and many boxes of parts stored inside, while more delicate trim pieces are stored in trunk – Car will never be finished by current owner, who can’t bear to watch it just sit – Buyer could build, part out or whatever they choose – Lots of hard-to-find parts as the ‘68 has some odd pieces not found elsewhere – Not looking to recoup the thousands already in the car – $500 which would be considered a win all things considered – Buyer would have to transport the car and ALL the parts (e.g., fenders, hood, deck lid, etc.) – For more information, send email – Car is located in Nokesville, VA , where it was moved from the owner's garage to his barn in November 2020 and parked on heavy sheet plastic to avoid moisture migration to underside of car and under cover

Straight, dent free and clean – Typical rust at bottom edge of both front fenders which the son had repaired but it was done on the cheap – Car had a white vinyl top which has been removed – Body was removed from frame and placed onto rotisserie – Frame was professionally blasted and powder coated including as far inside frame as powder gun could reach, then coated in satin black

On the rotisserie, underside of car was completely stripped of old undercoat, primed and painted in satin black – Body was re-installed on frame with new body mounts – While frame was exposed, ALL new hard brake and fuel lines were installed – Since plan was to add EFI to the 472 engine, fuel lines are both 3/8” hard for return and supply – Fuel tank with EFI pump from Tanks Inc. comes with car – Front suspension rebuilt with new bushings and ball joints – Front disc brake conversion installed

Engine and Transmission
Running when pulled – Currently in a four-point stand on wheels – Carburetor and exhaust manifolds have been removed are being stored in the rack – Transmission has been rebuilt and stored

Seat fabric is in good condition, except on driver's side where the fabric and springs took a beatings are good – Front seat's power moves in all directions – Much of the dash’s plastic parts were badly broken, crumbling etc., so plan was to build semi-custom dash – Main steel structure is in fine shape as is top pad – Tele/tilt column however signals had stopped working (common issue), so plan was an aftermarket Flaming River column to be added
